Dennis Auburn
Denins Auburn is a photography artist which projects images on top of models. He explores shapes on colour and how the they appear on the human body. He names this set of work 'aura' which suggests that the colours and shapes are a representation of the individual in the image or that they were created by the individual. The images that he uses to project onto his model is inspired by what could potentially be seen through a microscope from a biology course. Auburn's work is very unusual than other artists work as the relationship between the reflections and the subtleness of the model, has an usnusual contrast which many artists would not attempt to display through a photography. I will use Auburn's work o influence my own, however, for my own images, I will be projecting my previous images as this will relate to my theme.
This is one of the best images from his series of work in my opinion. The colours and patterns contrast with each other giving the image an interesting look. The pose in which the model is placed in is unusual compared to normal stances that models take thorughout photography.
